Blossom House

Blossom House is Ideal for a singles and couples relocating to Cairns. Monthly stays most welcome. A joy restoring this charming light filled Art Deco studio. Located upstairs in a 1920’s grand Queenslander guesthouse with elderly residents below. Walking distance to esplanade, hospital and public swimming pool. We invite you to relax and enjoy this spacious and unique space.

The space

Blossom Two opens onto a Queenslander veranda around two sides, with Queenslander windows all around. There is a lovely breeze here due to the proximity to the Cairns esplanade and sea. The veranda has a lounge and dining area on the front, and a kitchenette, bathroom with separate toilet and sunroom balcony on the side. Internally is a private extremely large bedroom with doors.

We have just completed an 8 month restoration and hope guests will love this environment. We encourage quiet guests as it is an old building with timber floors. We hope you will feel very comfortable and relaxed.

For musicians we currently have a piano on an outdoor deck under a large marquee in the garden. There are private opera singing classes conducted on Friday afternoons on this communal deck/dance floor.

I have provided pantry provisions and some items in the fridge to get you started as I know how useful they are when travelling.

There is a live onsite caretaker and I visit the guesthouse at least three times a week. It was my mother’s and I am now taking care of it.

Guest access

On street parking is free. There is no parking within the property.

Other things to note

I’d like you to know that the building is very old. It’s imperfect with creaking floorboards that have an abundance of character.
